I disconected my DSTV ...why because everything is broadcast over and over again .... like discovery chanel ext . It is not even worth to pay almost 500.00 for it , and some chanels I never watch.
I saw in the Republikein today that someone also complained about them and it all reminded me about how bad they are .
I was at a friend last night .....who saw the Sunday movie ? It was by far the worst movie after Borat that I ever saw.
I am sure there is better movies that M-net can provide us .
Sorry for those people who thought the movie last night on m-net was nice .
That is why we never even made the effort to subscribe to DSTV. We have a TV but we only rent DVD's. If we have children visiting, I put on one of the cartoon DVD's for them when they ask to watch TV and for the teenagers we have a pool table and a kareoke system. I find that I have a lot of time for other activities and get loads done in the evenings. I rather save the N$500 (if that is what it costs) and study with the money. That is a better investment to me.

I agree... they need to let people at least choose what they want more or less and pay reasonable fees for that. I'm only interested in a couple of channels so why bother paying through my teeth for them? I considered getting only MNet about a year ago, but that costs even more than their mini bouquet, which is ridiculous! So I just didn't bother taking anything at all, why should I let myself be ripped off like that? I'm doing just fine without it, but if they ever did let the viewer have a little more control for a decent amount (I have no interest in paying for 7, or more, sports channels!) I might change my mind. Until then, I'll buy my favourite DVDs and rent the rest - it costs less.

Dstv does give the option of only getting selected channels. And the costs are much less.
I unfortunately can't provide you with any details.
Hope this helped? :)

They give bouquets with less channels, cheaper costs but they select the channels, you cannot. I phoned and that's what they said...

I have to agree, DSTV is a pain in the butt and certainly not worth the expense. Why don't they bring back some old series from yesteryear ... like for instance, "Hillstreet Blues" ... and "St. Elsewhere" ... even though they are ancient they were good viewing pleasure in their heydays. I love the MNet stars channel as it gives us a chance to watch the oldies that are not quite ancient yet.
But please Multi Choice ... live up to your name - give us a magnitude of choice rather than a magnitude of reruns, that just run over and over and over again!!!! The more you rerun over your choices the flatter your viewers get!!!

Well, do be honest I can't blame Multichoice for the re-runs. That's a worldwide issue... Multichoice is getting most of their channels from Sky in the UK and Sky is the one doing the repeating. I can deal with that even, but then I want to know I'm getting what I chose to get and paying just for that.

THE SAME MOVIES ARE SHOWN OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
THE NICE MOVIES THEY PLAY LATE AT NIGHT OR ON WORK DAYS, AND WEEKENDS THERE'S NOTHING TO WATCH

i don't see anyone mentioning their service...bad...none actually.. Try and question their billing system and you are immidiately transferred, put on hold and eventually they just throw their hands in the air and tell you they can do nothing about it!!
