Hello Good Morrow Every Morning, at certain points in Windhoek there are Traffic Control Officers regulating the traffic. Well, I cannot help but make a comment on this one point. Its the road from Hochlandpark where you turn right onto the Western Bypass. Now the oncoming traffic is quite heavy, so there is supposed to be a traffic officer there to stop the oncoming traffic to give the guys that want to turn right a chance. Some mornings he is there doing a terrible job, sometimes not. Sometimes he is there but doesnt bother getting out of his car. Now this is always the same officer that I have this problem with. Quite heavyset, licence plate 50731. I cannot help but notice that at all the other points the traffic officers are on their posts everyday, regulating the traffic like they are supposed to do. Now what is up with this one point. Can this individual just not be bothered showing up and doing his job

Everyday when I drive somewhere ,there is a carguard at my car sometimes without me asking to guard my car , I normaly say no to them ,but when I do say yes I give them N 5.00 , the reason I say no is because I drove of so many times without them even noticing me , and it is not that I try to steal my own car .My question is now , are they actually beggars or are they carguards I know the people will attack me now and say but atleast they dont steal and break into houses , thats good ,and I am glad if they saved your car from damage or got a registration number from someone who bumped your car . But for what company are they working or do they just get a orange vest and there he is now, officialy someone that can guard your car . One of these days they will start to guard your house .

So, as most people I have the fear of God for dentists. Not for the work they do per se but for those bad ass bills that pop up. Well, much to my surprise I accidentally stumbled on to a brilliant new dentist in Windhoek. Ok, so I must admit I had extensive work needed on my teeth....the signs of smoking and partying took their toll. Her name is Dr van Zyl. She is still contracted to most medical aid scheme rates even PSMAS i.e. government. Now what really impressed me about this woman was how efficiant she and her assistant were. If you book for an hour, shell work onn your dental problems for an hour She doesnt take short cuts and ask you to come back to have another tooth fixed whilst she still has time to do so and to still bill you for the same period. Her offices are at the practice of Dr de Chevonnes opposite Wernhill. Give her a try...you wont regret it and you wont have a heart attack when the bill arrives.Ps I am not the type reccommend service in this town but was amazed by this womans professional attitude.

Hey all, I donrsquot know if you recall one of my recent WOMFrsquos for help to quit smoking. I tried a lot of things and found something that I feel really works, so I decided to share it with you. It is a book written by Allen Carr called quotAllen Carrrsquos easy way to stop smokingquot. This book is amazing, in that it takes a whole new approach. It doesnrsquot carry on about all the diseases that one can get and all the other stuff that we already know, although it does have a small reference to that. It helps you to understand that if we want to carry on paying through our noses for the rest of our lives just for the privilege of destroying ourselves mentally and physically in a lifetime of slavery, a lifetime of filth and diseases, then we should carry on smoking. It helps us to understand why we smoke, that it has no advantages to us, but rather disadvantages and what we can do to be free of that horrible little monster for the rest of our lives. All you smokers out there know that we do not smoke because we enjoy it You canrsquot tell me that you enjoy suffocating your lungs with tar substances and stinking constantly, not to mention the bad breath, etc. And donrsquot start with quotBut I enjoy smoking, it relaxes me or it helps me concentrate or I am gonna die anywayquot That is not the case. Should I go on This book has changed my life and I highly recommend it to all. Take that final step of freedom from nicotine I have

I see that Club London is holding a drink until you drop party Are you amp kidding meThis is one of the things that is wrong with society at this point in time. Namibia is rapidly turning into a nation of alcoholics and the glorification of liquor has taken on unhealthy proportions. We have people driving drunk almost every day of the week go to any club or bar on almost any night of the week and try to count the number of people are seriously unfit to drink and you will run out of fingers.Sure I know that the club is going to come back and pay lipservice to supporting responsible drinking much like alcohol producers do. They will say that they cannot be held responsible if a person does not have a designated driver and that they do not encourage driving drunk but how can they say that with a straight face after advertising a party like this. How can you call your event Drink until you drop and not accept the responsibility for glorifying drunkenness and all that entails.I know that I will have certain people commenting that I am just a boring stick in the mud who does not want people to have a good time and probably do not know how to have a good time anyway which unfortunately for those people just goes further toward proving my point is it that inconceivable to you that you can have a good time without getting drunkAlcohol has its place and its use but when people glorify not just the alcohol itself but the overconsumption and debasement of getting blackout drunk we should be looking at our society and realising that there is something SERIOUSLY wrong.

I spoke to a volunteer from the Cat Protection Society the other day about the SPCA and the Cat Protection Society having approached the municipality to purchase the land that the failed Ramatex factory was situated on. The SPCA has outgrown their current premises and are unable to expand due to being in a residential zoned area. Initial requests for alternative property to purchase were made back in 2007 with no response whatsoever. I have subsequently received a copy of a letter that the SPCA has sent to the Municipality asking for permission to purchase the Ramatex land and thought that it was time that we all helped out What I would love for you to do is to send a letter to Mr. Henson at Katutura Customer Care Centre, P O Box 2085, Windhoek. In this letter I do not want you to only apply pressure on the Municipality to possibly allow the SPCA and Cat Protection Society to purchase the land but I would love for you to pressure them to give the land that according to all reports needs an extreme makeover that not even Ty Pennington would accomplish to them for nothing. That is correct Please send a letter to the Municipality telling them that you believe they should give this land to the SPCA, hopefully with enough pressure from citizens they will have to at least answer. Send the letter, it is your RIGHTPlease also send a copy of the letter that you sent to fax 237379, or 225715, or 248141.
